The Secret World of Bats  (1991)

Importance of bats

An hour long film, The Secret World of Bats follows ecologist, leading conservationist and award-winning wildlife photographer Dr Merlin Tuttle across five continents, exploring the little known world of bat behaviour.

A fascinating and engaging glimpse into the domain of these nocturnal airborne hunters, remarkable slow-motion photography reveals courting techniques, parenting skills and many intriguing symbiotic relationships.

Through the stunning cinematography of Dieter Plage, an alien world of echolocation is brought to life, celebrating these resourceful creatures and exploring various conservation efforts along the way.
