Sharks: On Their Best Behaviour  (1992)

Fascinating shark behaviour

A fascinating insight into these long fabled fish, Sharks: On Their Best Behaviour celebrates the diversity and intriguing behaviour of these awesome predators. In the depths of the oceans, former shark attack victim and award-winning wildlife filmmaker Michael deGruy shares his passion for these highly evolved creatures, attempting to dispel the misconceptions surrounding them.

From distinctive hammerheads to mighty whale sharks, and from electric rays to camouflaged wobbegongs, stunning underwater photography explores a whole host of different species. Examining all stages throughout their lives, deGruy records species never captured on film before, with incredible footage documenting the elusive megamouth shark, only ever sighted a handful of times.

Sharks: On Their Best Behaviour is a thrilling and fitting tribute to one of the Earth's longest surviving group of species, so well adapted it has had little need to change in over four hundred million years.
