David Attenborough - 50 years in televison

A light-hearted look back over the extraordinary career of David Attenborough, Life on Air celebrates his fiftieth year at the BBC. Delving into Attenborough's illustrious resumé, world-famous comedian, actor and television presenter Michael Palin interviews friends, family and colleagues as well as David himself.

Occupying a unique place in the British psyche, Attenborough shares memorable moments and amusing anecdotes from an astonishing career composed of over two hundred and fifty television programmes. Interspersed with footage from some of Attenborough's most groundbreaking productions, Palin charts his rise from his early days on Zoo Quest to his 2002 specialised series, Life of Mammals.

An incredible insight into the career of a highly accomplished zoologist, conservationist and natural history presenter, Life on Air explores the man whose incredible work catalogue continues to shape the nation's view of wildlife.
