Looking for Birds  (1950)

Looking at birds

An early film from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Looking for Birds depicts various species of British birds and the variety of habitats in which they live. From coots incubating their eggs at the edge of ponds, to waders and seabirds inhabiting Britain's coastal regions, the film illustrates a great diversity of species.

Looking for Birds was photographed by George Edwards, the first staff member of the RSPB Film Unit who, as well as filming and editing, provided live commentary for his productions and film shows.
